The Sudden Color of Guilt

Whispering Wind
The sudden color of guilt on the man’s face indicated that Officer Gunn was on the right path. He had a remarkable tendency to not let go.
“Where’s the truck?”
The man stooped his shoulders.
“Did you dump it somewhere?”
It was becoming oddly clear that the man thought the whole situation was pretty bizarre.
“So?” asked Officer Gunn.
Suddenly someone approached the stranger.
“Hey, Tim, why are you just standing there?”
“I am hearing voices in my head... I think…”
“Oh, Tim, again…?”
That’s when Officer Gunn thought …oh my goodness! I nearly forgot… I am a ghost now!
100 Word Challenge (Prompt: …oh my goodness! I nearly forgot…)
